People walk around Castle Hill, near Huddersfield on the afternoon of 24 March 2021. A plan to build a cafe and hotel at the West Yorkshire landmark is set to go ahead after a request for a government review of the scheme was rejected. The development at the historic Castle Hill was approved by Kirklees Council in 2020. Huddersfield Civic Society raised their opposition and asked for a review by Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick.
